International Examinations

They are recognized by schools, universities and employers around the world.

Meridian International School is a Cambridge International Examinations Centre. Proudly, the school is part of the world ́s largest provider of international education programs and qualifications for students aged between 5 and 19 years old. More than 9000 schools, in over 160 countries, are part of the Cambridge learning community.

The Cambridge approach supports schools to develop confident and responsible learners.

Year 2 to Year 9

Thanks to our participation in the Cambridge Primary and Secondary 1 Programme we are now able to monitor student achievements through new testing materials. Students from years 2 to 9 will be eligible to participate in these examinations (Cambridge Primary Progression and Checkpoint tests, Cambridge Secondary Progression and Checkpoint tests). Examinations are given in English, Math, and Science. This world-class education programme offers learners an excellent foundation for the next stage of education.

Year 10 and Year 11

At the end of Year 11, after successfully passing the examinations, our learners will gain Cambridge IGCSE qualifications which are amongst the world ́s most popular international qualifications for 14 to 16-year-olds. Achieving these qualifications enable students to build skills in creative thinking, enquiry, and problem solving. Cambridge qualifications provide learners with a passport to success in education, university, and – in later life – employment.

Year 12 to Year 13

During the last two grades of high school we provide a Cambridge International AS and A-Level syllabi, which develops a deep understanding of subjects and independent thinking skills. Cambridge offers a choice of 55 subjects, and schools can offer them in almost any combination. This flexibility means schools can build an individualized curriculum, and learners can choose to specialize in a particular subject area or study a range of subjects. A Cambridge International AS Level qualification can typically be achieved via a one-year course, whilst the full A-Level is a specialised two-year course.
