On November, 25, students from 11th and 12th grade attended the Open Day of the University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague.
The students first attended a presentation at The Faculty of Food and Biochemical Technology. They visited stands and got information about water treatment, filtration methods, saccharides, emulsifiers, and air
components in food packages. Then they participated in a lab tour and
had chance to see scientists and technical devices analyse components of
food and how milk goes through the pasteurization process.
During the second part of the field trip, they watched demonstrations of
analytical chemistry and physical chemistry. They participated in some
demonstrations and learned about glass-making, analysing molecules and
